Fantastic Pentastic® penstemon

-

Introducing an eagerly-anticipated, revolutionary collection of new penstemons, which promises stouter, freely-branching, dwarf habits and exceptional flower power from May through to September. Perfect for both borders and pots, they prefer sunny, sheltered situations. They’re loved by bees and make excellent cut flowers. Height: 50cm (20in), spread: 40cm (16in). Supplied as UK-grown, young plants in 14 days.*

‘Pentastic Red’

The darkest of the trio, this one has the most vibrant and contrasting blooms and is perfect for filling a perennial pot for long-lived, free-flowering interest. ‘Pentastic Red’ begins to flower in June, earlier than most penstemons, which are conventionally seen as good perennials for providing late-colour. Remove faded blooms to encourage more flowers.

‘Pentastic Rose’

Looks fantastic when teamed with Salvia nemorosa ‘Caradonna’ for the ultimate summer floral display. Its stout, branching stems boast large, outward-facing blooms, perfectly arranged for you to admire up close. They appear in tightly- packed clusters on each spire and continue into autumn, ensuring a striking, prolonged display of colour.

‘Pentastic Pink’

Offering a well- covered canopy of softly bi-coloured, bell-shaped blooms, the stems make an excellent addition to any vase. Its disease- free leaves keep it clean and free from unsightly black spots. It’s a compact plant that produces tidy clumps of foliage that sprout from the base of the plant and quickly become covered with blooms.
