Four plants to try

1 Sedums: Succulent jelly bean-looking leaves can be gently pulled off (or wait until they fall). Lay them sideways on Vermiculit­e-infused compost. 2 Echeveria: Rose e stems of echeveria can be trimmed off and po ed into trays of gri y seed compost to root, before po ing up. 3 Aeonium: As echeveria, or you can trim off some healthy leaves, space them out in a tray of gri y po ing compost and firm in the ends. 4 Sempervivu­ms: Li le rose e offshoots can be pressed gently into gri y po ing compost and the pots topped up with grit.
