Prized pelargoniums
For years I’ve grown a small collection of pelargoniums of zonal, regal and scented varieties. They’re ideal for growing in a greenhouse and, if kept frost-free over winter, will often flower through much of the winter. Through the summer months I keep a few undercover for decoration, but some of the larger plants stand outside by the house, where they look really a ractive. Because I want them to look decorative, the outside plants are grown in terraco a pots and just before they go outside for their summer break, some of the larger ones are being po ed into bigger containers using John Innes compost. This adds weight to the pots and keeps them growing all summer long.
