FAST FRUIT AND VEG
Garden centres have lots of fruit growing in pots and some will even have fruits on them. Strawberry plants are a great buy right now because they’ll crop this year and then give a bigger crop next year. Fast and productive, they can be planted in a sunny spot in the garden now or even in pots and baskets. Blueberries are also good in pots, but don’t forget the ericaceous compost to plant them in.
Large pepper and chilli plants in pots are also a good buy, ge ing a head start on your own seed-raised plants that may be behind because of the cool April weather!
