GROW YOUR OWN CITRUS TREES FOR A FEW PENCE

-

Citrus plants that look great adorning our conservatories and patios can be very expensive, costing £30 upwards for an established plant. So why pay that when you can simply buy an orange or lemon from the supermarket and save the pips! Wash and dry them well, then pot up in multi-purpose compost compost. Water well and put on a warm, sunny windowsill. Pot the plants on incrementally, and keep in a warm spot indoors, except in summer when you can give it a holiday on the patio – give it a few years and it may even fruit outside too. If not, the foliage makes for a lovely plant, anyway.
