Cut back euphorbia
Before the first frosts arrive, you need to cut your deciduous types of perennial herbaceous euphorbias right back to the ground. After cutting back, plants such as Euphorbia cyparissias, E. griffithii and E. palustris will start back into growth next spring. Always wear gloves when handling euphorbias because their sap is an irritant. Rinse your eyes or skin thoroughly with water if you should come into contact with the sap, and wash your secateurs carefully after pruning.
