Take cuttings Propagate rosemary, bay, sage or thyme as semi-ripe cuttings, cutting just below a leaf. Trim leaves off and place around the edge of a small pot of compost. Pot up for the windowsill Pot up sections of chives, mint, basil or tarragon plants for your windowsill and put them in a bright, south-facing spot. Tidy up plants Sort through your herbs, cutting out any dead and damaged stems and trim down flower heads. Pick off yellowing leaves. Harvest for drying and freezing Bunch healthy stems of herbs and hang to dry before storing in an airtight jar. Freeze some in ice cubes to use in stews.
