Plant up an autumn pot

One of our favourite things to do in autumn is cheer up the patio and porch areas with bright pots of colour. Try low-growing evergreens – we’ve used ivy, sedum and Chiastophyllum oppositifolium, or lamb’s tail, with its red foliage in autumn and yellow, tall, droopy flowers in spring. Finish with a jazzy selection of cyclamen and you have an unusual container that will last and last.
