Trim lawn edges

-

Trimming lawn edges is a great way to bring a fresh and tidy look to your autumn garden. With less going on in borders, the structure of your lawn is more apparent, and now that grass growth has slowed right down, you’ll reap the benefits of your work for several weeks to come. Use sharp hand shears or long-handled edging shears, moving in the direction of the open blades and keeping the lower blade still. Clear up the grass trimmings and add to the compost heap to avoid them seeding into the soil.
