Make supports for raspberry plants
Raspberries grow best along a support of posts and wires, so if you construct this now you can tie in plants as they grow in spring. On a sunny, sheltered site, drive two 2.4m (8ft) x 7.5cm (3in) posts 60cm (2ft) into the ground, 3m (10ft) apart. Drill pilot holes at 60cm (2ft) intervals up, affix screw eyes in these, then stretch 12-gauge wire between each set of screw eyes. Plant bare-root canes to the soil mark on the stem, 40cm (16in) apart.
