Spot pot weed

This is a very satisfying job in a small lawn. Use a daisy grubber or narrow trowel to lift weeds from the soil. Target those that spread quickly, quickly such as dandelions and creeping bu ercups, bu ercups and remove them as deep down as you can. Replace the hole with some fresh compost or topsoil (mole hill soil is good) and sprinkle some grass seed on the bare patch.
