JOBS TO DO NOW
Spring is the best time to repot many houseplants into larger pots using good houseplant compost. Make sure the compost has had time to warm up before using. It’s also a good practice to soften compost by sifting it, which breaks down compressed chunks and allows more air into the structure of the compost – roots need both air and water. When filling a pot with compost, don’t compress it. Treat the compost gently – the friability of the compost encourages the new root growth into the fresh compost.
