Nature caught on camera
Winning images reflect the breathtaking beauty of nature
This year’s International Garden Photographer Of The Year (IGPOTY) competition attracted more than 19,000 astonishing images from over 50 countries, showing us the beauty and importance of plant life, including those in gardens.
Winner of the IGPOTY title and £7,500 is Jill Welham from North Yorkshire with her picture ‘Fireworks’, which shows three allium heads captured in wet cyanotype, a modified 19th century printing process.
Winning images will be exhibited at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew until March 10, but will then be touring around the UK and overseas. l Visit www.igpoty.com for further information.
