Prune autumn raspberries

-

Autumn raspberries are very easy to grow and produce a crop of juicy berries from late August until October or November, depending on the weather. The pruning method is very simple and all you do is cut everything back to ground level at this time of the year. It’s important to cut hard back as leaving short, stumpy growth can lead to diseases getting into the plants. This hard pruning encourages strong, new growth over spring and summer that will fruit later in the year. Repeat this pruning every year in late winter and they’ll thrive and remain vigorous, and crop well.
