I have been gardening it’s not been with a mental list of jobs that need to be done, which is how I suspect most people work; rather I’ve just let each job take as long as it needs and then moved on to the next, or just saved it for another day!

I’m also aware that many people are taking up gardening as a new pastime – either as the perfect way in which to spend time outdoors alone, or perhaps to grow their own fruit and veg. The Garden News community has a role to play here – there are no more passionate and committed gardeners than our readers, so why not offer advice over the garden fence if it’s needed? You’ll be amazed just how much knowledge you have – and if we have more gardeners when these strange times are over, then so much the better!
