Bring Chelsea to your own plot!
Why not have fun and create the experience in your own garden?
With no Chelsea Flower Show this year, how will us gardeners get our fix of seeing inspiring, beautiful gardens? Well why not look at each other’s and host your own virtual garden show with your friends and family?
We’re getting used to making video calls, so it can be easy to show people around your garden. They can offer plenty of advice and encouragement too, as you explain why you’ve planted certain things in different areas. For a bit of fun you can even have a vote on whose garden wins ‘Best in Show’!
If you don’t want to do it ‘live’ you can always make a short video on your phone, with your own commentary on your garden and share it with friends to get some feedback. In fact, your well-established garden probably has more of a back story than most Chelsea show gardens anyway, so details on the tales behind certain plants would be interesting, too.
In these difficult, isolated times, we need to find ways of having fun in the garden so let’s have a go at recreating the Chelsea experience! This virtual flower show is an easy way to share gardening ideas and experiences with friends and an opportunity to be nosey and have a good look at your neighbours' and friends’ gardens that you haven’t seen for so long! But most importantly it’s just a bit of fun so you can laugh, come together and lift the spirits of all your gardening loved ones.
Use our top tips to wow anyone who sees your garden, whether in the flesh or on a screen!
