Prepare bean supports

-

BEANS AND PEAS grow into substantial plants, so they need strong supports to hold them up. It’s worth making sure you have enough sturdy bamboo canes or hazel poles in advance, so you don’t run short. Check that any supports you already have are still in good condition, discarding any that are rotten or badly split. Then clean off any soil, old tendrils and string to get them ready for use. You can then start erecting wigwams, arches or double rows to support the plants you plan to grow.
