Throw away yellow leaves

-

TENDER and half-hardy plants that are overwintered under glass, along with cuttings you took last year, need to be checked regularly for any dead, dying or yellowing leaves. These should be picked or cut off as they can harbour fungal disease, which can spread to healthy foliage. Removing them will help to maintain good air circulation around the plants, which also reduces the risk of fungal infection. Keep an eye out, too, for signs of pests that can be picked off by hand. Pop all removed leaves on the compost heap.
