Remove weed seedlings
MANY WEED SEEDS are able to germinate even in the cold days of winter, and the seedlings can grow rapidly. These include cleavers (goose grass), groundsel, lawn daisies, hairy bittercress and annual meadow grass. If you leave them to grow, they’ll start flowering and seeding over the next month or so, giving you yet more weeds to contend with. So pull them out by hand or hoe them off when the soil is dry.
