Sow pansy seeds for winter beds
SAVE MONEY on winter bedding by starting some pansies from seeds now. Fill a modular tray with multi-purpose compost. Firm it gently and water using a fine rose. Sow the tiny seeds onto the surface of each cell. Cover with a light layer of sieved compost or vermiculite and germinate in a propagator at 18 º C. Thin out the seedlings selecting one per cell. Grow the pansies in their modules until they are ready for planting out in their final positions in late summer.
