A BOB SAYS Stinging nettles give a general-purpose liquid feed thought to also improve disease resistance. Comfrey gives a highpotash feed mainly for potatoes, tomatoes, roses, fruit trees and bushes, especially gooseberries. I find borage makes a better general-purpose liquid feed than either, and more quickly. Make the best feed by combining all three.
