Cucumbers, courgettes, and squash

Cucumbers, squash and courgettes are fast to grow and can’t be planted out until the warm temperatures of mid June so sowing now is perfectly timed. Push a single seed side- down into a 7cm pot filled with generalpurpose compost and cover with a 5mm layer of compost or vermiculite. Soak the pot, label it and place it into the propagator at 25°C for fast germination. Make sure young plants have been gradually acclimatised to outdoor night temperatures before planting out next month.
