Blue

Himalayan poppies, bluebells and cornflowers (Centaurea cyanus) – the latter gave its name to the pigment, anthocyanin, found in red, blue and purple flowers. In botany, blue is unusual as it helps to define plant families, especially Boraginaceae (of borage and echiums).
