MOODY BLUES

-

This heady blend of indigo, purple and blue creates an arresting spring display for the front of a sunny border. WHY IT WORKS The deep, dark hyacinth is a gorgeous backbone to the vivid spikes of the muscari and the viola’s dainty faces. SECRETS TO SUCCESS Deadhead the violas regularly and they will flower continuously until spring – underplant by dotting them through the hyacinth. Plant the muscari in naturalistic groups and it will quickly form a carpet of blue – clumps can be thinned to stop it taking over. AT ITS PEAK March-April
