Did pruning cause my curled rose leaves?

AEMMA SAYS Pruning your roses did not cause the problem you have seen, which is due to the pest, leaf-rolling sawfly. Roses produce the new leaves that sawfly attack every spring, with or without pruning. In fact, pruning helps counter rose pests and diseases, by improving vigour.
