ABOB SAYS Rose campion (Lychnis coronaria) is found so often as a weed or garden escape that some people imagine it is native. But it originally comes from southern Europe. A vibrant addition to borders, with soft grey foliage, it prefers a sunny spot and self-seeds readily.
