Harrison Ford is back!

Ford is not one known for his chirpy, lenient temperament – and for years, he’s denounced the possibility of a Blade Runner sequel. So the fact he’s signed up to the project says a lot about the script and its chances of living up

to the original.

The director is a mega-fan

Denis Villeneuve is one of the hottest directors in Tinseltown right now – Sicario was gritty, and Arrival was superior, smart sci-fi. That Ridley Scott trusted Villeneuve with his most precious of properties is a huge deal; that he could actually have the chance

of pulling it off, even more so.

It’s world-building

Not only do the trailers prove that Villeneuve and co have nailed the look and feel of the most iconic and inspirational futuristic sci-fi world of all time, but there are numerous hints of how it’s

expanded. Exciting.

We’re on board for dystopian Gosling

That coat, that gun, that philosophically tortured smoulder... While no one can replace Ford, Gosling’s a not-tooshabby successor for the leading

man of a super-cool sci-fi.
