Coytrahen Fun Day: The Coytrahen Fun Day runs on Saturday, July 16, starting at 12 noon centred on the Philip Squire Community Centre and nearby. Bouncy Castle, swing boats, climbing wall, falcons and many other stalls. Featuring the BoisGoetre-Hen Choir, the Big Fat Blues Band, Irish Dancers and a range of local singers. Bar and Barb-Que and lots, lots more. Free entry.
Tadas Exhbition: The Tondu and District Art Society have secured another triumph with a superb display of original artwork in their recent summer exhibition at Len Evans Hall , Aberkenfig and as usual the exhibition was well received by its many visitors. The best painting in show (selected by public vote) was Navigating the Canal Lock by Colin Rees. The winners of the Society competition on the theme of ‘Flora and Fauna’ were as follows –1st ‘Busy Bee - Clive Davies: 2nd ‘Butterfly with Abstract Flowers’– Joy Allen and 3rd ‘Come Dine with Me’ – Lorna Chilcott. The competition was judged by Elizabeth Cambell of the Porthcawl Art Society. The Society thanks those many people who supported the Exhibition in such a variety of ways.
Reiki Healing: Reiki healing is offered each Tuesday from 6pm to 7.30pm at the Ynysawdre Community Centre (at the junction of Bryn Road and Heol-yr-Ysgol). Aberkenfig Spiritualist: Aberkenfig Spiritualist Church in Pandy Road offers Flower Arranging this morning (Thursday) at 10.30am and this evening an Open circle at 7pm. This Saturday there is a workshop being run by Pat Rees starting at 10.30am. Divine Service on Sunday at 6pm is led by Vanessa Follet. Monday at 7pm. Healing. There will no longer be Healing on Tuesday. Thursday next, flower arranging and at 7pm an Open Circle.
