Appeal to former Maesteg players

-

MAESTEG RFC is sending out a call to former players, writes Tony Poole.

During the close season, club officers Dennis Thomas and Timothy Brimble have made strenuous efforts to contact as many former players as possible.

“The response from ex-players we have recently contacted has been excellent,” said club press officer Dennis Thomas.

“They have provided database material so that we can quickly get in touch with them regarding former player functions.

“In the past a lot of former players have told us they would have attended reunions if they knew about them.

“It isn’t an easy job as down the years, a lot of our players were recruited from West Wales – and are no longer in the loop.

“But hopefully, we can address the problem as we would love to see more of our former stars back at the club.’’

Any former Maesteg players can contact Tim Brimble on 07974 911107 or Dennis Thomas on 07854 114218.
