GARW ............................. 6 CARDIFF HIBERNIAN . 0

TABLE-TOPPING Garw hit relegation-threatened Cardiff Hibernian for six during this Blandy romp, writes Tony Poole.

The Blandy boys made it 11 straight wins and a perfect record has taken them four points clear of Aberfan, who have also completed three more matches.

Up into the third promotion spot have gone Cefn Cribwr, who are just five points back with two games in hand over Aberfan.

Home fans were given another master class of passing and guile with on-fire Harry Davies once again at the heart of everything that was wholesome in another sound team display.

Harry’s theme was once more goals, and a second consecutive hat-trick drove him on to eight goals in the last three games.

Lewis James weighed in with a goal brace and ex-Llangeinor and Betws star Damien Bernard, who was returning to the firstteam stage, got the other goal.

Next up for Garw on Saturday is a showdown with former Welsh League colleagues Tynte Rovers at Blandy.

The Cynon Valley side will be no pushovers for Ryan Blanche’s side, as they hold fourth position and have only lost three of 11 league starts.

Their final pre-Christmas outing is another home league fixture on Saturday week, this time with mid-table St Joseph’s.

Meanwhile, in Celtic Tyres Bridgend & District League Division Two, Garw Reserves swept to an emphatic 6-1 away win over their Llanharan counterparts.

Bottom-placed Llanharan - without a league in 10 outings – failed to cope with the all-round strength of the Blandy boys.

Mark Wood twice chopped them down, and single strikes came from Adam Lamb,

Lewis Evans and Paul Llewellyn.

However, the goal-ofthe-day came from Jimmy Morris who motored onto the ball and crashed the ball home.

Garw Reserves are without a fixture this weekend.
