THE results for recent events at Bridgend Bridge Club are:Wednesday, 25 January: First, Liam Sheridan and John Beard; Second, Geoff Tinkler and John Henson; Third, Linda Pinnock and Bill Turner.

The winners on Handicap were Geoff Tinkler and John Henson.

Thursday, 26 January: First, Geoff and Christine Tinkler; Second, Stuart Davies and Margaret Roach; Third, Eileen Mahoney and Geoff Barnett.

Friday, 27 January: First, Liam Sheridan and John Beard; Second, Teresa Griffiths and Linda Jenkins; Third, David and Norma Newman.

The winners on Handicap were Teresa Griffiths and Linda Jenkins.

Regular club nights take place on Wednesday and Friday evenings at Nolton Church Hall. Play is scheduled to begin at 7, so it helps if players arrive at least ten minutes early to enable a prompt start.

On Thursday afternoons at 2, again at Nolton Church Hall there is a gentle bridge session. Where advice is available on the bidding; Master Points are awarded whilst remaining a relaxed occasion where players enjoy their Bridge.

Lessons for beginners take place on Thursday mornings at 11.30. There is usually a seminar at 1.30 for those who are playing in the afternoon.
