Porthcawl Museum And Historic Society: The February lecture will be at Y–Centre in John Street, on on Tuesday, February 21, when Phil Owen will give a talk be on Henry VIII’s warship The Mary Rose. Members go free; non-memebers £1.

There is also a St David’s Day Coffee morning on Friday March 3 in the Y-Centre at 10.30am and I am sure that there will be stalls and a quiz.

On Tuesday, March 21 there will be a talk on Mysterious Margam by Alan Doyle.

Porthcawl Townswomen’s Guild: This month’s lunch at Beale’s Fish Restaurant was well attended as was the lunchtime drama at the Grand Pavilion.

Everyone who went to the Pavilion thoroughly enjoyed the play and is looking forward to the next one in March.

The coffee morning at the RAAFA Club was a great success; with members and friends enjoying a chance for a good chat. Mrs Alison Westwood demonstrat­ed Eclipse Gift Wrapping at this month’s meeting.

Next month’s meeting will be held at All Saints Church Hall in Victoria Avenue on Wednesday, March 8, at 2pm and this will be the Guild’s AGM.
