Laleston Gardening Club: Members should be aware that the show schedules for the Annual Show in September are now available and can be collected from the club.

The club’s not-forproft shop (The Cabin) is open between 10am12noon on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Swimming Gala: Calling all swimmers, scouts, schools etc, A great opportunity to support good causes for the Lions and yourselves. The Charity Swimming Gala of Bridgend Lions will be held at Ynysawdre Pool on Sunday, May 7.

Lions Book Sale: Dates are Friday April 7; Saturday April 8; and Sunday April 9. Donations can be delivered to Westward Community Centre, Cefn Glas (opp shops) any Sunday between 10.30am and 11.30am.

Laleston WI: The Book Club at Bridgend Library takes place on March 21.

The next meeting will be held on April 6, at 7.15pm in Blandy Hall (Laleston Gardening Club)when the guest speaker will be Malcolm Cowpar on the History of WWII in Bridgend.

The Annual Vestry Meeting for All Saints, Pen-y-Fai has been set for Sunday, April 2 either within or immediately after the 10am service. The date for the Laleston & Merthyr Mawr meeting will be agreed in Monday’s PCC meeting and advised next week.
