Mayor’s Fund Events: Forthcomin­g events include:

Friday, March 31 – Resistance to Murder, a hilarious murder mystery play at the Workingmen’s Club, Maesteg, 7pm. Tickets £8 including a buffet.

Thursday, April 6 – A Fashion Show is being held at Maesteg Comprehens­ive School at 6.30pm, but the event starts at 5.30pm providing an opportunit­y to browsing at the stalls.

Sunday, April 9 – Easter Egg Hunt at Maesteg Welfare Park, from 11am.

A Tug of War competitio­n will be held and teams can contact leidasalwa­y@yahoo.co.uk

Saturday, April 29 – The Mayor of Maesteg’s Annual Charity Ball is at Maesteg Town Hall, from 7pm. For more details see the Facebook page: Mayor of Maesteg.

Côr Merched: The choir are now rehearsing hard for their annual concert in Maesteg Town Hall on April 7.

In May it’s off to London to perform at the London Sangerstev­ne. This will include an appearance at Cadogan Hall, Chelsea.

New members are welcome to join us at rehearsals on Wednesdays, 7pm-9pm at the Catholic Church, Monica Street, Maesteg.

Bus Trips: A Bus trip to Paultons Family Theme Park (Peppa Pig World) on Saturday, June 17. Adults & children over 1 metre £38, children under 1 metre park entry £14 includes bus & park entry – pick up Maesteg and Sainsburys Sarn.

Also a bus trip to Drayton Manor on Saturday, July 29. Prices are age 4 years plus £33, age 2-3 years £20 and anyone under the age of 2 is £13. Prices include bus & park entry – pick up
