MAESTEG

-

IT was a case of role reversal last week at Maesteg during the Senior Section’s 15-hole Stableford competition.

Ron Talbot, who has been a hot property throughout the winter, on this occasion had to settle for third place.

Having won the week before, Talbot this time signed for 29 points.

That was four points shy of the player who came third to Talbot the previous week – Jim Summers.

This time around the sun shone on 33-point man Summers while the runner-up spot went to 30-point cardholder Roger Evans.

And the club handicapper was placed on red alert after captain Howard Griffiths won the ninehole section on the back of a sizzling 23 points.
