Pyle Community Council: The next meeting will be held in the Talbot Community Centre on Tuesday, April 18 at 5.30pm.

Members of the public are welcome to attend and councillors will receive questions for 15 minutes before the meeting.

This is an opportunity to make suggestions or raise any concerns and is also an opportunity to meet your community councillors.

Over the past few months I have been an observer at their meetings and their five year environmental improvements strategy is impressive.

Pil Primary School: As part of their Easter Activities Tesco and Warburtons visited the school.

Tesco visited the Nursery and helped the children to make rice krispie nests filled with mini eggs. Everyone watched the chocolate melt from solid to liquid before mixing in the Rice Krispies, putting the mixture into paper cases to make nests and then counting out the eggs.

Later everyone decorated a fairy cake with icing and added an Easter chick. During the session, the children were made aware of the importance of washing hands before preparing food. The children were delighted to be able to take home their creations.

Warburtons visited the Reception class to talk about healthy food choices and the importance of food hygiene and preparation.
