Recycling Collection: Owing to the Easter Bank Holiday, our normal black bag and recycling collection day will change to Tuesday, April 18

Traffic Problems: Many residents went to the Village Hall in St Brides Major to meet Andrew RT Davies, Assembly Member, to discuss the volume of traffic travelling through the village and a pedestrian crossing.

Open Gardens: On Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16, Slade Gardens will be open for charity under the National Gardens Scheme.

With extensive views over the Bristol Channel, Devon coastline and our own Heritage Coast, it is well worth a visit.

Wardens will give guided tours of Dunraven Gardens from 2pm onwards – more informatio­n from the Heritage Coast Centre on 01656 880 157.

Heritage Coast: Friends of the Heritage Coast Annual General Meeting on May 7 in the Centre at Dunraven Bay. All welcome to attend.

The Friends have put their newsletter onto CD which can be purchased for a small donation.

Velindre Cancer Care: A quiz in the Fox & Hounds raised £500 and a treasure hunt was held in Ogmore-by-Sea.

Old School Bell Tower: The new build of the nursery school in St Brides Major is underway and the senses garden that was started with enthusiasm in 2002 has ben demolished.

A new location in the school grounds has been found for the bell tower that was donated on loan by Mr David Hopkin on the condition that it would be given back to the family if the school ceased to function.

PACT: On Thursday in the Fox & Hounds the local police officer discussed various issues and it is hoped this will be one of many meetings.
