A LEAGUE

WITH one league game remaining, a 10-1 win for the Picton Z against Breeze virtually handed the A League title to the Picton.

The highlight being a 15 darter from Billy Absalom and they now need just two points from their final clash with second placed Pyle Legion A.

The Legion defeated the Sea Horse 8-3 with a 180 from Peter Lea. The Legion must defeat the Picton 10-1 to steal the crown from them. In the fours the Picton must win 3-0 and hope Pyle RFC B lose 3-0.

Elsewhere, the Greenacre defeated the USC 9-2 with match highlights being a 16 darter from the in form Mark Grabham and a 17 darter from Nick Winn.

B LEAGUE

AN 11-0 whitewash from the Picton A against the New Brogden sees them move nine points clear with two games to play.

A 10-1 win for Pyle RFC A against the Prince C sees a tasty clash looming between first and second to decide the league championsh­ip. 180s came from the Picton’s Chris Lawrence and Barry Rees.

The Swan A still have an outside shot of the title or second spot despite an 8-3 loss to the USC A. The fours league sees Pyle RFC A lead by a point. The RAFA B and Picton A both still have a chance of taking top spot.

C LEAGUE

A 7-4 WIN from the Swan B sees them needing eight points from their last two games to top the C League with leaders the Globe A having played all their games.

A 123 out from Anthony Rickard the highlight. The Seagull defeated Pyle Legion B 8-3 to keep their title hopes alive also. In the fours league, the Globe A top the table but nipping on their heels are the Swan B, Seagull and Sandpiper.
