Arson attack investigation

POLICE are investigating an alleged arson attack at the YMCA in Angel Street, Bridgend.

A spokeswoman said that before the fire was discovered, a security guard saw a man inside the building and confronted him and he made off. A short time later, six small fires were discovered by the security guard, which had caused damage to the inside of the building.

The male suspect is described as 30-40 years old, light-coloured short hair, medium build, tattoo on the right forearm, and wearing a short-sleeve shirt and jeans.

Police are appealing for people to contact them if they have any information about this incident, just after midnight on April 22.
