Blaengarw Cricket Club: This Saturday, June 3, Blaengarw Cricket Club will travel to Glyn Park to face Miskin Manor Cricket Club. The match starts at 1pm.
The club holds net practice every Thursday, from 6pm, at Darren Park, Blaengarw. Garw SBGC: Presentation Night: On Saturday, May 20, South Wales Alliance Division Two champions Garw SBGC held their annual presentation night at The Vetz Club in Pontycymer.
After the mini football team players were presented with their awards, it was then the turn of the seniors:
1st team player of the year – Zack Edwards
1st team players’ player – Kristian Evans
1st team top goal scorer – Lewis James
2nd team player of the year – Matthew Jones
2nd team players’ player – Paul Llewlyn
2nd team top goal scorer – Dai Broom
Young player of the year – Harry Davies
Most influential player of year – Tom Lewis Clubman of the year – Nathan Rose. The squad will fly out to Spain on June 9 for a relaxing end of season tour.
Following this, pre-season training will then start on June 29 at Blandy Park, Pontycymer. Sessions start at 6.30pm and all are welcome.
Under 18s – Next season, Garw SBGC will be running an under 18s football team. Training will commence on June 29 at Blandy Park, Pontycymer.
The team will be training twice a week and home games will be played at Blandy Park. There are no weekly or training subs, just a monthly £5 membership fee per player.

Llangeinor Councillor Surgery: Roz Stirman, the new Councillor for LLangeinor, will be holding her first surgery/meet and greet in Helen’s Sandwich Shop, this Saturday, June 3, from 10am-12noon. If you have anything you would like to discuss with her, she would love to meet you.
PACT News: The next PACT meeting for Llangeinor will be at the Richard Price Centre on June 7 at 5pm.
The next PACT meeting for Pontycymer/Blaengarw will be at Pontycymer Police Station, Victoria Street on June 7 at 6pm.
Pontycymer Tennis Club: The tennis season has now started on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5pm at the club, behind Lawrence Park.

Garw Valley Links Community Church: The church meets on Sundays at 11am in His Place (next to Spar) in Pontycymer. Everyone is welcome. Activities for children included. (Children under six need to come with an adult.)
