a football convert after chasing the egg for years alongside burly wing Dai Upton, stepped up to make the presentation to the top goal scorer.

And the iconic Garw Valley sportsman fitted the golden boot in Cinderella fashion on the sweet right peg of Lewis James.

The night also coincided with Junior Presentation Night, and Garw Seconds also handed out their silverware.

Player of the year at second-team level went to Matthew Jones; play- ers’ player was handed to Paul Llewellyn while Dai Broom swept to victory as top scorer.

Further individual awards went to Harry Davies (young player of the year) and Thomas Lewis (most influential man) while Nathan Rose left the Vetz smelling of roses after getting the prestigious Clubman award.

With the season neatly filed away in the history books of club senior statesman Dick Smiles, the squad will now wind down during a glittering end of season tour.

They fly out to Spain on June 9 ahead of playing in elevated company next term in Alliance Division One.

There are plenty of derby games on the menu, as neighbours Betws, fellow promoted club Cefn Cribwr along with aristocrats Cornelly Utd and Porthcawl Town Athletic are at this level.

With that in mind, pre-season training begins at Blandy on June 29 with new players welcome to join the Garw revolution.
