KPC Youth & Community: A charitable organisati­on that provides a safe and nurturing environmen­t for children and young people.

Events include: Messy Play Sessions: Tuesdays (term time only), 10.30am-11.30am. £2 including a cuppa. Ideal for babies that can sit up unaided up until age two years.

This a fabulous opportunit­y for toddlers to explore and learn about textures through play while their parents, grandparen­ts or carers have a chat and a cuppa, socialise and make new friends.

Zumba Classes: Thursdays with Michelle, from 10am-11am. Sessions are free but any voluntary contributi­ons will be appreciate­d. All abilities welcome.

Rebound Fitness: Sessions for adults are held on Tuesdays at 6pm and Fridays at 9.15am. £1.50 per session.

Walking Rugby: Held on Thursdays, 9.30am for a 10am start. All ages and abilities welcome, male and female. £1.50, followed by cuppa & chat.

Festival of Learning: KPC are holding a series of drop-in sessions where you can find out more about things like how to create an email, how to save money online, and being safe online,etc.

Pop in for a cuppa and some friendly help on Wednesday, June 7, 14, 21 and 28, from 2pm-4pm.

Also on and Tuesday, June 13 and 20, from 1pm3pm.

Charity Vintage Musical Afternoon Tea: Come along to this event this Saturday June 10, from 2pm-6pm which at Ty Maen House, South Cornelly in aid of St James’ Restoratio­n and Y Bont. Sandwiches, quiche, scones with cream and jam and a selection of homemade cakes will be provided with tea and coffee. Singers from Noteworthy Choir will also be singing for your entertainm­ent. There will be a raffle, a book stall and a card stall. Adults £10 and children (under 14) £3.

Phil & Ash: Phil and Ash will be performing at The Grove Golf Club on Friday, June 23 at 7.30pm. All proceeds will go to KPC Youth and Community. Advance tickets are £5 and on the door £7. For tickets contact kpcyouth@ hotmail.com or call 01656 749219/745399.

Cwtch Cynffig: For 50 years Kenfig Hill has provided a meeting place for people with disabiliti­es and their carers and the Cwtch Cynffig project continues their good work every Thursday.

Activities include arts & crafts, chair based exercise, health and wellbeing sessions.

Morning sessions run from 10am-12.30pm and Afternoon sessions run from 1.30pm-4pm.

Each session costs £5 which include refreshmen­ts. Lunch is also provided at an additional cost of £2.50.

Call the Talbot Community Centre on 01656 749754 or come along on their Open Day on Thursday, June 29, from 11am-1pm.

Kenfig Hill and District Male Voice Choir: The Choir’s Annual Concert will take place on Saturday, July 8, at The Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl, from 7pm.

Festival Week: Preparatio­ns are already taking place for this wonderful annual event in the Kenfig Hill and Pyle Community.

This year the theme is Flower Power. Festival week commences on Saturday, June 24 until Sunday, July 2, with a Fun Day on Saturday July 1.
