Everyone wishes her all the best for the future.

Year 4 – Students took part in a football based book competition.

Pil Primary, along with three other primary schools, were challenged on their knowledge of football and the football themed book they had been reading in class.

The competition aimed to promote boys reading for pleasure but the girls were pretty keen on the books too. Pil Primary answered a staggering 20 questions correctly.

Leo Jones stole the show when he answered a question correctly on Italian dictator, Mussolini.

Pil Primary were then allowed 20 shots at goal and comfortably slotted away eight goals. Man of the match, Alfie Joyce, put away two goals in a true show of his skills. Well done to all who took part.

Mynydd Cynffig Primary School: The school was Bridgend’s representative at the Welsh Schools Rugby Union Junior Group National 10-a-Side Tournament at Dunvant RFC in Swansea.

Year 3 – Pupil Thomas Williams will be swimming a mile to raise money for the charity Level Water on Wednesday, June 14, from 3.30pm at Pyle Pool.

His mother then discovered a charity which helps children with disabilities to learn to swim, namely Level Water.
