Low gross scorer was runner-up Julia Baker, who playing off an away handicap signed for 92-6-86 with the round containing six pars.

Third place went to Jane Maine with 116-29-87. their counterparts from The Grove Golf Club for the home leg of their traditional annual friendly fixture.

The visitors found the blustery winds a little difficult to contend with and Section Captain, Mike Feeley, with partner Wayne Newton, set the early scene with a 2up victory in the first match.

He then settled back happily to watch his team romp home with an eventual six and a half to one and a half victory.
