Air Cadets: The three cadets services enter a competition each year to select the best BTEC learners all across the UK as delivered by CNVQ – Cadet National Vocational Qualification Organization.

The award runs from November to July, with the ultimate prize being a two-week trip to South Africa for the finalists.

The award is intended to recognise the achievements of young people who are determined, keep their heads up and remain positive through adversity; those who have overcome a personal challenge or gone the distance to help someone.

Therefore, very well done to 2318 (Aberkenfig) Squadron’s very own Cadet Flight Sergeant Casey Marchant on becoming one of ten award finalists.

Following her attendance at the selection event ishe had made it through to the last ten from the thirty that took part in this selection event.

As a finalist, 18 year old Casey and the other nine cadets from across the UK will now have lunch at the House of Lords, as well a tour of No 10 Downing Street, it will be during this special day that the overall winner of the award will be announced.

All ten finalists then have the trip to South Africa in July to look forward to as well, so very well done Casey Marchant, a trip of a lifetime!
