ST MARY’S Senior Section began their week with a Greensome Foursomes competition.

A short field of just 20 players defied the wet weather forecast and were rewarded when the promised rain held off through the morning. Steve Phillips and Garry Bater claimed the victory with a net 61. Roy Denton and Ray Stacey took second place with a net 64.
