80th Birthday: Congratula­tions and Best Wishes to Yvonne Morris who celebrates her 80th Birthday on August 7.

Yvonne a dedicated volunteer on the Reception Desk at the Princess of Wales Hospital for many years will enjoy a luncheon date with her special girl friends.

Touch Of Nostalgia: A local train enthusiast and ex-railway employee would like to advise that on August 5, the Tornado Steam Train will be passing through Bridgend Railway Station at 10.45am on its way to Carmarthen.

It will be returning through Bridgend Station at approximat­ely 7pm.

Free Tai Chi: Geoff Cheetham, vice chairman of shout Bridgend, wishes to let anyone interested know there are sessions of tai chi movements in the Newbridge fields, every Thursday at 11am for four weeks starting which commenced on Thursday, July 27.

There is no charge and it is suitable for all ages regardless of their experience so why not go along and enjoy the session.
