New directors for Valleys to Coast

-

TWO new directors have joined a Bridgend social housing company.

Valleys to Coast Housing (V2C) has appointed a new director of operations and director of resources.

Paul Ryall-Friend has been appointed as director of operations and is V2C’s deputy chief executive. He joined the company in March.

Paul has previously worked as director of strategy and planning at Curo Housing Group in Bath. Prior to joining the housing sector in 2012, Paul worked in customer relations in the banking industry.

Paul’s appointment is part of a major transformation programme which will see the company embrace innovation, customer-centred design and a “digital first” approach to business. He will also lead the company to achieve its strategic goals and plans.

Sarah Prescott has been appointed director of resources and is V2C’s company secretary, joining the company in July. Sarah will be replacing Alun Rawlins, who will be retiring in September.

Sarah’s previous role was director of finance and ICT for Cardiff Community Housing Association. Before that she was the assistant director of finance at Gwalia (now the Pobl Group) and also director of finance for Tenovus, the cancer charity.

Chairman of Valleys to Coast Neil Harries said: “We are delighted to make two such strong appointments within our executive team and we believe they will both be a great asset to Valleys to Coast and its customers.”

CEO Stephen Cook added: “Both Paul and Sarah very much fit Valleys to Coast’s culture and values, having a strong focus on customer service and our charitable purpose, combined with a sharp commercial focus.”
