Shed loads of fun for all at #ShedFest family day

-

IT’S called #ShedFest but there’ll be more than a few old garden spades to keep the crowds entertained.

Organised by ShedQuarters Maesteg in an effort to encourage more practical men’s groups like theirs to start up, they have teamed up with like-minded groups from across the borough to organise a family fun day.

The idea for #ShedFest was inspired by a very successful and enjoyable open day held recently by Squirrels Nest in Tondu.

The fun day will take place between 10am and 3pm on Saturday, September 2, at Ogmore Life Centre.

There will be activities for all ages under cover in the car park and indoors, including sports and games, a bouncy castle, children’s entertainment, a barbecue, craft stalls, live music to take part in (you can bring an instrument or just sing), history, arts exhibition and radio recording.

The event is free to attend but charges may be made for some activities, products or refreshments.

After the event some of the men will make their way to Ogmore Vale Bar & Restaurant for some more musical fun for all patrons to join in with.

Also, if you pick up a festival flyer from any of the shops in the Ogmore Valley and take it along to the Ogmore Vale Bar & Restaurant curry house on Sunday, September 3, you will get 10% off your meal.
