Sad News: Sincere Condolences to Mel Lewis and family on the loss of his dear wife Beryl who has bravely battled with ill health for some time.

Beryl, a special friend for many years, sadly passed away at the Princess of Wales Hospital on August 18.

She had been a volunteer on the Reception Desk for some nine years and was seen on the desk every Monday afternoon until August 14.

She enjoyed helping patients at the desk, working alongside friends Brenda and Ann and possessed a strong inner strength which sustained her until she could fight no more.

Prior to her volunteering days, Beryl was a PA/Secretary at Ogwr Borough Council to the late David Greenway for many years and latterly to Lyn James, Director of Corporate Services until her retirement.

Many neighbours, colleagues and friends will remember her fondly and I for one will miss her sorely.
